Bartosz Kołsut – a charismatic, versatile musician and a perfectionist. Regarded as showing deep sensitivity and emotional commitment to his every rendition of a musical masterpiece, Bartosz delivers outstanding performances, which reveal his extraordinary artistic skills as well as a rich diversity of forms of expression combined with brilliant virtuosity and well-thought-out interpretation. His deep understanding of music forms, esthetic alignment with a compositional style of each piece and a youthful temperament have earned him a wide circle of enthusiasts and music lovers, not only from among concert audiences, but also the most acknowledged world authorities on music.

His talent and artistic abilities have been acclaimed at music festivals and contests held in many countries around the world. In 2014 Bartosz was awarded the title of the best young musician, Młody Muzyk Roku, in a competition organized by TVP Polish Television and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. In the same year he represented Poland in Eurovision Young Musicians in Cologne, Germany, where he performed as a finalist with West Deutsche Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra. He has also received the highest awards at festivals in Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Lithuania.

One of Bartosz Kołsut’s most spectacular achievements is performing twice at Carnegie Hall in New York. After his first concert there in 2014 and having emerged as a laureate of the 2015 Ibla Grand Prize contest in Ragusa, Italy, Bartosz was invited to play in that most prestigious concert hall in the world once again in May 2016.

He has achieved remarkable success in prestigious international masterclasses in solo and chamber music and has worked with such artists as Yuri Shishkin, Matti Rantanen, Geir Draugsvoll, Stefan Hussong, Frank Marocco, Cao Xiao-Qing, Raimondas Sviackevicius, Janusz Pater and Jerzy Jurek. Bartosz contributes to outstanding chamber music projects as well as cooperates with a young generation of renowned composers, enhancing accordion music literature and promoting contemporary music.

Bartosz Kołsut graduated from Oskar Kolberg Colleges of Music in Radom in 2015 in the accordion class of mgr Artur Miedziński. In 2018 Bartosz graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he had studied in Professor Klaudiusz Baran`s class. Later on, he mastered his skills at Hochschule fur Musik in Detmold, Germany, under Professor Grzegorz Stopa. Currently he is a student at Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen, Germany, where he is studying under Professor Mie Miki and Heidi Luosujärvi.
